The Association represents the areas of Ardler, Meigle, New Alyth and Alyth, all told in excess of 230 homes. The name of the Association (tenants and residents) refers to houses either rented from Perth and Kinross Council or purchased from the Council through the Right to Buy scheme. Your Chairperson is David Chalmers and can be contacted on 01828 632723, or you can contact the Secretary, Jean Henderson, at 5 Hazel Court, Alyth. Your local Area Office is at Leslie Street, Blairgowrie, telephone 01250 872051. Meetings are held on a regular basis and are advertised in the local press, in local shops and on notice boards locally. The Association has received its Certificate of Acceptance as an RTO (Registered Tenants Organisation) from Perth & Kinross Council.
We try to help in different ways within the community with traffic problems, school crossings, vandalism, and the environment in general.
We think this is a nice area in which to live and try to help everyone to keep it that way. If you are interested in becoming involved we would be delighted to welcome you to our Association (IT'S FREE).
Scottish Government policy encourages tenants to become more involved. One evening a month is all one has to set aside in order to become involved, come along and give it a try! It's our homes and environment; together we can make them better. We as tenants and owner occupiers make up a large selection of our community so let's play our part in it.

AGM 19th March 2008
The Association held their AGM on Wednesday 19th March 2008 in the Ogilvie Rooms, Alyth.
The guest speaker was Jennifer McOmish, Area Housing Manager. Councillor Ian Miller gave a report on recent events in the area and Pat Fyfe of the Perth & Kinross Tenants & Residents Federation chaired the election of office bearers. This was as follows:-

Committee members: E Welsh, N Grieve, V McClure, W Simpson, F Cameron.
The elected chairman assumed the chair and thanked all those for attending and the invited guests for their input to the AGM.
