Crieff Residents Association seeks to embrace residents, business owners and persons whose main employment is in the town. We believe that all have a stake in the town's future. The Association are mourning the sudden loss of their chairman, George Clark, who died on 12 January, 2008. George regularly attended meetings of the Federation in Perth. Tenant issues are very much to the fore at these meetings and George ably represented Crieff tenants' interests. Crieff Residents Association carry out small community projects every year. George took a full part in painting and decorating, collecting rubbish, planting bulbs and fundraising activities. The Federation has lost a valuable member and Crieff has lost a much loved and well respected member of the town. The Traffic Survey conducted by the Residents Association last year was concluded in the autumn and the results have been collated and are currently being published. Crieff High School has agreed to run a project to design a colour scheme for the town. The Crieff and Upper Strathearn Partnership have supported the Residents Association's call for a clear identity for the town. High School students will present their impressions of selected town scenes showing lamp posts, street furniture and railings re-painted in their suggested town colours. Pupils will then engage in a second project designing replacement 'Welcome to Crieff' signs.
